THE OLD TOWN HALL FALMOUTH
One of the oldest buildings in Falmouth, this brief history tells the story of the Old Town Hall, written by Mike Jenks, Falmouth Civic Society.
It started life in troubled times as a non-conformist chapel around 1700. Owned by Martin Killigrew of Falmouth's most prominent family and owners of most of the town, it was gifted by him to the town for use either as a school or town hall for the sole benefit of the public.
The Old Town Hall is surely one of Falmouth's most important and interesting heritage assets.
